	To be honest, Keiichi is still far from being in his best mood. It has barely been a week since Minato left, but he still wants to do nothing but stay at home and curl in the bed. Unfortunately he can't allow himself that luxury, not when he has Ange there and he doesn't want her to worry, not when he still has friends that will worry. And he's not the only one hurt, after all, he may not be an adult yet, but he's not enough of a kid to act as if he's the only one hurt. So even if his heart feels like a stone that tugs him down and even if at every corner he turns he wants to do nothing but run back to his house and mope forever, Keiichi forces himself to go out. He doesn't pay much attention to who is around though, in fact he doesn't even register the fact that the place is much crowded than it should. Expect him to bump into everything and everyone because looking where he's going is too cliché for him.








	Ikki isn't impressed by the invasion, neither is he interested. He's only out and around the town because he has to take his wolf, Hyoga, out for a walk. Don't think for a second that he's out there checking for someone he may now, or for a certain brown-haired girl who has too much energy in herself and a weakness for yellow overalls. He doesn't have his hopes up, anyway, just because the place is suddenly crowded it doesn't mean he will be able to find anyone he wants to talk to. He just hopes to not be bothered too much by those he has no interest in. His wolf, though, is of the opposite opinion and will stop and bark at anyone and everyone it crosses paths with. Don't worry, though, the animal doesn't bite, he just likes attention. ~~And to drag Ikki into interactions with people~~.








	When Yoh woke up today he thought he was back at Tokyo due all the fuss that he could heard outside, of course it didn't take long for him to realize that he was still in Luceti. He would lie if he said that he liked how busy and crowded the village has suddenly got, Luceti's not prepared for these kind of things, it's a village, a big one but still a far cry from a city. Still, he knows it could be much worse, and despite the mild annoyance he feels deep down, Yoh goes out to explore and check what's going on. He will be found at the fountain for most of the day when he's not wandering around, sitting on a bench and looking at everyone or... Plainly sleeping with his headphones on. Who cares if it's the middle of winter and there's yet snow around, the idea that he may get a cold doesn't even cross his mind.

[He smiles and pets the kid's hair gently.]

Believe me, you're very special, more than enough to meet her. In fact, I'm sure she will think that you are even more special than she is.

Me? [ She looks at him, an incredulous kind of expression on her face. She really can't think of herself as someone more special than a princess who helped out a knight instead of the other way around.. ]

... I don't know. But.. I guess I'll trust you. You know Battler onii-chan, after all. E-even if meeting someone that amazing is.. [ .. 'a little scary', she wants to say, but even tiny Ange has her moments of wanting to appear braver than she is, so she tries to swallow it. Except it doesn't work nearly as well as when older Ange does it. ]

Yes, you're special too. And very strong, you can't see it yet because you're so young but I can see the potential in you. One day you'll see it, and I bet that you'll have more knights to protect you than just Battler.

[Lalalala~ Ange you're awesome and he loves you even if you're a six years old kid... Thinking of that, now probably would be a good time for Battler to come and punch him because he's effectively being all puppy in love with a little kid.]

Don't worry, she's very gentle. And despite being so amazing she looks fairly normal too, you'll like her, really. She even has red hair like you do!

She's used to this from her brother and father, sure, they're way too doting (although she enjoys it) but to hear it from someone else too now is almost a little weird.. but not enough to turn her off, after all, he does seem really kind. Which is why she's still walking with him. ]

Oh... Maybe there is something, you're too cute for it to be good for yourself, I bet your father and Battler often worry about that. And about some guy coming and stealing you from them.

[ at least it reassures her a little, swallowing thickly one last time before giving a small nod as she listens to the other things he says. ]

.. Uh-huh, I think I heard them talking about that sometime. Dad said I'm not allowed to go near any guys.. .. a-ah, am I doing the wrong thing now then? [ holding hands with him here and all. ]

Oh! No, no, not at all Ange-chan. Holding hands and talking with me is okay, I'm sure your father and Battler would approve of it. Because I'm going to help you go back to your family's side.

[Eventually. After some punches and shoots from her father's part. But really, if her future husband can't hold hands with her it would be very sad.]

It's other boys, specially around your age, besides your father, your brother and me who are the ones you shouldn't go near to. They could like you too much and try to steal you from your family, and you don't want that, right? It would also make your parents and Battler very sad, I'm sure.

So unless it's your dad, Battler or me, Keiichi Maebara, you should never ever get near any guy, understood?

[Never ever fall in love with anyone else, little Ange. NEVER EVER.]

[ YOU'RE JUST AS BAD OF AN INFLUENCE AS RUDOLF AND BATTLER, KEIICHI.. surrounded by all these Ryukishi guys, why. And Ange is much more gullible when she's younger, so of course she obediently nods a little at that. ]

I promise I won't. [ .. ] Then does that mean I'll definitely never have to leave my family..? I don't wanna be without them..

[HE JUST WANTS TO MAKE SURE SHE ONLY FALLS IN LOVE WITH HIM OKAY?? WHAT'S WRONG WITH A HUSBAND PROTECTING HIS FAMILY?!!

Her question makes Keiichi stop and look at her for a moment, slightly worried because... Well, even if he didn't know what he knows that kind of question is difficult to answer. He crouches down to be on eye level with her.]

Well, it certainly will help to make that less likely to happen. Still it's a difficult thing to say, Ange-chan. Life is very long, you know, there are many years awaiting for you with all their days and hours, more than enough time for many things to happen, both good and bad.

There may be times when you will have to be without your family, like when your parents go to work and you go to school, you aren't with them during those hours, are you? And as you grow there may be school trips that last for a week or so and you will be separated from them then. Or they may have business trips themselves for a long time.

[He pauses and places a hand on her face, caressing it, trying to be reassuring and looking at her honestly. She's a little kid, but she's Ange and she's a bright kid, treating her like one now wouldn't be fair for her.]

Still, there's something I can tell you for sure, Ange-chan. No matter where they are or where you are, family is more than just being in the same place physically. There will be times when you can't see them but that will be because rather than being at your side they will be behind you. Or maybe they will be in another room in the house, watching you while you play or watch the television or play outside while they are inside. So you must not be scared or worried about being without them, because no matter what it may seem, you won't be alone.

It's okay if you don't understand this well now, you'll understand it better as you grow up and you will discover that there are many more types of family and that you don't need to have the same type of family your whole life. For now, just believe in me and be happy, because no one wants you to be worried or sad, okay?

[ ... It's a really long story, but Ange listens. Patiently even, considering she doesn't really get it so she needs to quietly think about it either way, only nodding along a tiny bit with what he's saying even though she doesn't know what it's about. Why would her family not be with her..? It's fine if they're in another room, right? She knows she can't be with them all the time, but as long as they'll be there for her, as long as she can always come home to see them.. then that's more than fine.

Which only makes his story more confusing.
