While I appreciate the effort from the Malnosso to bring in the Christmas mood... I still would have preferred to be able to decorate the house myself and decide what lights it has and all that. Guess we could still do it despite this.

How many of you are spending Christmas here for the first time? Or even hearing the term Christmas for the first time, I guess there are many of those. If you're curious, Christmas is basically a winter holiday, it has religious background but it also has a pagan tradition. Back on Earth many different religions and countries have it or an equivalent holiday. In simple terms it's a way to celebrate the end of the year and the start of the new one, also there's a tradition of giving and receiving gifts on the 25th, which is Christmas day. Or getting them from Santa Claus, or the Malnosso like last year.

It's a holiday to spend with friends, family and loved ones... Does everyone have someone to celebrate it with?

By the way, anyone has some advice to share regarding what to do for a special girl on Christmas? I don't mean regarding gifts, I have that covered, but... You know, getting her somewhere or doing something special, I suppose. It doesn't have to be necessarily romantic, it's preferred if it's not too romantic, even.

But it's the truth. There's nothing that would make her happier than to have her brother here again or her parents. She lost them at a young age and just... She hasn't really moved on from then I suppose. So the only thing she would like, her favorite thing in the world, would be to be with them.

Unfortunately that's not something I can do, unless the Battle Dome also allows to make simulations of people.

...well the Battle Dome has the ability to make simulations of places...maybe people works, too.

The only problem with a simulation is that it might backfire...make her sad that she can only see him then and not otherwise.

Yeah, it would be fake as well so it could hurt her even more.

...what if you made something for her to remind her that even if she doesn't have her family, she has people here that care about her just as much?

... That's kind of what I'm trying to do with all this.

I filled the hallway with flowers of all kinds all for her, made her go on a small treasure hunt gathering plushies just for her that I gathered and prepared specifically, gave her a small treasure box I made myself full of colored coins to be used as coupons in exchange for anything you can think of from me. Before that I made her move with us so she wouldn't be lonely and I would be able to keep an eye on her wellbeing more easily, and on another time ran barefooted around the village until I could find her after she had a rather bad experience due an experiment. And I had her spend the night at home with us so she wouldn't spend that night alone.

... Uhm, no, I didn't make her any drawings. But that's a gift, I was asking more along the lines of doing something with her when I take her out that day.

Sometimes simplicity is the greatest thing of all. All of that other stuff? It all sounds so grand and elaborate and it's great but...sometimes people just want to know you care. Maybe you don't even have to take her anywhere. Just watch the snow fall together. Have you asked her if she wants to go and do something on Christmas?

Going to the cherry hill to see the Christmas lights from there. That was his suggestion, I like it actually but I wonder if that won't be a bit too simple. I'll probably do that at the very least though.
