Sorry to bother you both but, can I talk with you? There's been something in my mind lately and I would like your opinions on the matter.

I don't remember this now, but the fight destroyed our car. Aigis couldn't win against Death... so instead she sealed it inside the only person at the scene.

After that she broke down and didn't come online until we found her 10 years later.

Death was divided into smaller Shadows, right? So with you returning, since Death was inside you, the other parts noticed it and reacted to it?

We didn't know that yet. We thought defeating the Shadows would end the Dark Hour. [...] But the man who told us that tricked us. He really wanted us to bring the Shadows together again, and revive Death completely. That would cause the Fall.

So you killed the Shadows... And Death was revived completely?

A lot of things happened first. We lost one of our members... And Mitsuru-senpai's father died stopping the man who betrayed us. After that, we weren't sure what to do. The Dark Hour was still around, but we didn't have a way of ending it anymore.

[It's... Understandable. They had been guided all along a path believing one thing only to find out that the path was the wrong one and left with no clue on how to get to the correct one... Even losing people dear to them.

He transferred in around then. He's a good person, but Aigis never liked him, and didn't want him around me. Eventually we found out why. He'd forgotten himself at first, but... Ryoji actually is Death.

[One would probably be expected to be shocked, worried and terrified on that knowledge... Keiichi just shows surprise, because he didn't expect that, but nothing else.

One would think that being Death, Ryoji was bond to be a bad person or something... But Minato called him a friend and the guy was around without going on a killing rampage... And not everyone who's called one thing is precisely that kind of thing, right, Hanyuu?]

It is now. But then, Ryoji gave us a choice. We could kill him, forget everything about the Dark Hour, and last a little bit longer before Nyx arrived, or we could try and fight her even though it was impossible to win.

What the... What a stupid choice! Who would ever pick the first option?! I mean, even if he didn't have a human personality and emotions... That would be the easy and coward route! Just forget about it and dwell into ignorance? Who would ever seriously want that? Besides, you never know if something is possible or not until you try it, if one just sits and waits it's obvious that destiny won't be changed but if one fights it, it can be shattered no matter what.

Did he really give you that choice?

He thought it would be easier for us not to wait and be afraid. Of course... we chose to fight.

Easier, yeah, it would, but that doesn't mean it's right. Bad things are always easier to do than the good ones.

He wasn't wrong though. When we got there, it was basically hopeless. We beat the first round but Nyx herself was too much.
