... You don't have to protect me from witches. [ Because there aren't any here, not anymore since Bernkastel left, and even though Featherine is here she's just in her human form and didn't show a threat towards her before.. but even if they were all over the place here, she doesn't want to see him hurt, and especially not for her sake. Bernkastel is much stronger than either of them, after all. ]

I'd be fine either way.

I know I don't have to. But I will do it either way. I told you already, you're doomed to be behind me if anyone tries to harm you, Ange. They will have to get through me first.

The only way they could seriously harm me is by hurting you, though.

[ It's.. a little difficult to admit it because of the slight tsun still present, but it's easier if it's just during cuddle time. Besides, it's the truth - she's been torn apart before already, she can handle that kind of pain but losing Keiichi or seeing him being hurt would be the true unbearable thing. ]

[He knows what she means and he tightens his hold on her a bit because of it, kissing her forehead tenderly.]

That's a big problem. The only way they could really hurt me is by hurting you as well.

Then it means they either hurt both of us or not at all, right? I don't think that's that much of a problem at all.

[ Because even if both of them would be hurt.. at least they'd be together, neither of them would have to suffer on their own. She closes her eyes for a moment when he kisses her forehead. ]

Mmhmm, that's a good plan, yes. See, that's why I'm lucky, I have the smartest and prettiest girl of any universe as my girlfriend. What would I do without you?

[ ssh, it's a joke, but it's true that she thinks he's just being overly flattering since she isn't that great even if he may think so - she leans against him a little more at that. ]

And I think that last part is rather the other way around. It'd be a real problem for me if you wouldn't be here.

Nah, surely someone would have tried to fill the same space in one way or another. I'm still sure there are many guys who would have loved to have the luck I had.

[He knows he shouldn't, but that idea makes him very happy inside. Ange just for him, forever and ever, here or there. He knows it's true the other way around though, even if he returns and forgets, he will never love another like he loves Ange, maybe he will never love anyone, period.

He returns the kiss happily. Kisses and cuddle time with the girl he loves. Battler can say whatever he wants, even if it's true he wants more, even if he had to spend the rest of his life with just this, he would be in paradise.]

[ Ange knows Battler is wrong, either way. Even if she's sure Keiichi enjoys kissing her like this - why wouldn't he, she enjoys it too, after all - she knows too that he's not just out for her body or whatever Battler might start shouting about. He really, truly loves her, and she can't be grateful enough to him for it. ]

Then it's a good thing we found each other here, or we would have been in a lot of trouble, right? You might have had to run off with Minako-san instead.

Eh? What does Minako-chan have to do with any of this?

She's the other girl in the house, right? You might have ended up liking her if you would never have known me, who knows.

She's Minato's sister, she's like a sister to me. I don't date my sisters.

Fine, then take a random other girl from your group of friends instead as an example.

No. Even if I could come to like someone that way, it would never be the same as I feel for you. I can come to meet someone with whom I wouldn't mind spending the rest of my life with, but with you... I can hardly wait for it.

[ Logic would require asking him how he could know that for sure, but.. no, she doesn't have to ask, because just those words are already enough to make her quiet for a moment, a little flustered but happy to hear them all the same. ]

So I'm that special, huh? [ She's trying to turn it into a slight joke since she doesn't know how to deal with being flustered like this, sob. ]

[Because thanks to the Malnosso he has been married already and what he felt for his wives, as much as he loved them, doesn't compare to what he feels for Ange. He remains serious though.]

If there's at least one thing I'll remember when I return, even if not clearly, something that will guide me through life. It's going to be you and the will to find you and save you no matter what.

... It wouldn't be easy to find me, you know. [ Aside from the general gap in time and places between the two of them, there's still her circumstances - she's already been isolated all her life, and it's only become more difficult with the involvement of witches. ]

But.. knowing you, you're probably stubborn enough to go for it all the same.

It wouldn't be worth if it was easy. But nothing can stop me. I've already broke through destiny once, Ange. Don't underestimate my strength, no matter what witch or person I'm going against. I'll save you.

[And there's a gleam in his eyes that says that it's more than just words, it's a will, a strong and firmly determined will. The same that helped Rika to break through fate. Almost as if it's something he's already planning, something already determined by his own mind and that will happen no matter what.]

[ She doesn't believe she can be saved. That's why exactly like she's said so before back home too.. she doesn't need a prince on a white horse to come save her, she'll deal with it herself. But when she sees him talking like that, that look in his eyes, too.. It just makes her want to believe in him more than anything. And that sudden feeling is enough to make her smile. ]

Don't go too far, though. [ In a sense that means don't go ahead and get yourself majorly hurt or killed.. ] Like I said, I can't be happy without you. And the only way they can hurt me is by hurting you. So to save me, you'll definitely have to come out of it okay as well.

Of course.

[He smiles a bit.]

For anything to work I'll have to survive everything in order to reach you. It would be stupid to get killed anytime before or after achieving my goal.

That's already better to hear.

[ It's right now at a moment like this that she can't see what Battler was yelling about, really. Keiichi is.. well, so sweet and willing to do so much for her even if she would never ask him to, even if she wouldn't want him to sacrifice anything for her.. there's no way he's just 'like all other guys' or whatever her older brother is claiming. ]

But still.. there's no reason to worry about any of that just yet, right? We're still both here together.
