[There's no way Minato would go to Haruhi's house in a moment like this, so Keiichi doesn't even consider checking there even if Koromaru stops there. Sure enough, the dog eventually keeps following the trail... Minato should have taken the dog with him if he didn't want to be found, honestly.

Keiichi just gives a look at the community building they stop at.]

What's up with us and invading empty apartments?

[Unless Minato is actually staying with someone else, which it could be. Though Keiichi is selfish and likes to bet for the option of him being alone.]

I'll tell you something, Koromaru. Next time I try to run away from Minato and the world? I'll go to the hot springs. Bet no one will check there.

[Anyway, entering there now. If Minato's there the trail should be even easier to follow.]

[He wanted you to listen to his note and leave him alone. A really good friend would respect that. :|

He took off his shoes inside the building but the dog should be able to find the right door. It's locked though.]

[Yeah, maybe a good friend would do that. But a best friend wouldn't. A best friend would crawl his ass to hell if he has to in order to be with his friend, even if he himself would prefer to be somewhere else or doesn't know what to do other than being here.

Anyway, see Keiichi fight with the knob a little. Then glare at it. And look at Koromaru.]

[He doubts Minato will open if he knocks, if he has gone to those lengths to be alone... Keiichi gets a brilliant idea, brb, checking if the apartment next door is occupied.]

[Koromaru wags his tail and sits in front of the door. The next door apartment isn't occupied, in fact it's a completely empty floor.]

[Awesome! Keiichi enters it confidently and checks it, opening the window to look at the outside.]

This will serve. Wait here a second, Koromaru!

[It will take him more than a second to go to the store and grab a long rope and return, of course, but he hurries as much as he can. Eventually, he'll be back at the empty apartment, tying one end of the rope somewhere safe and resistant... And the other end around his waist.

Then he climbs out of the window, carefully and slowly, using the small cornice of the building as ground to stand... And slowly climb his way to the windows of Minato's new apartment. He's in luck because the first window he gets to is the room Minato is in. Of course, he's curled up on the bed and trying to sleep right now.]

[His best friend has run away from home and is locked in an apartment alone. That's what's wrong with him.

Knock knocking your window. He'll try to pry it open or break it if Minato doesn't react.]

[It takes him a moment but he finally sits up and looks across at the window.

Keiichi gets to see a face he might not ever see again. For one instant, Minato looks absolutely terrified. But then a steely mask falls into place and he throws off the blankets, yanks open the window, and grabs Keiichi's arms to drag him inside. Not particularly gently, mind.]

[kasdhaskjfhask Yanked in, Keiichi basically falls to the ground of the apartment. It's a better spot to fall to compared to the other option but...]

Hey! Careful, I could have fell in the other direction and that's not a nice fall.

[You want him to die or what. Anyway, sitting on the floor now, fumbling with the rope.]

[If he were a different person he would punch Keiichi right now. But instead he just stands over him, his entire body rigid. When he speaks there's no trace of emotion either.]

Don't ever do that again.

Fine, don't run away from home ever again then... At least not without me.

[Well, it's to be expected that he would be angry, but whatever, he got in. That's what matters.]

[it's not what matters. And Minato just turns around to pick up his bag from the bed.]

[Huh... Yeah, that motion doesn't tell Keiichi anything good. It seems as if Minato's going to leave to go somewhere else and he can't allow that. Not after what he did to get in here.

Of course he may be going for the bag for some other reason but... Keiichi isn't going to risk. So Minato, enjoy a tackle/glomp from your best friend.]

[Oh, so you're going to throw him down on the bed now. Minato can't seem to make up his mind whether he should struggle against it or not. Eventually he just stares at Keiichi.] Let go.

I'm sorry but I'm not going to leave you alone now.

[well then... he closes his eyes.]

Yeah, well, tough luck. When I wanted you to leave me alone you didn't, this is payback time.

[He just wants to be alone, Keiichi. He hasn't even had time to think yet and you're already here. If you're not going to let him leave, he'll just roll onto his side and ignore you.]

[That's fine, Keiichi will let him have his silence at least. But he'll stay there, looking at the ceiling.

... Wait, Koromaru is still out. He will stand up and go to open the door to let the dog in.]

[what is this, bother Minato day? But he doesn't make a move while Keiichi is gone. For all purposes it looks like he's trying to go back to sleep.]

[It may be, anyway, letting the dog enter. And moving around a bit to check what there's at the apartment and such... Eventually Keiichi ends back at the room again sitting on the floor besides the bed.]

[Koromaru is a good dog. He jumps up onto the bed next to Minato but then lies down quietly.

Minato himself is making no move to say or do anything.]

[That's okay, Keiichi will remain silent for a good while too. Maybe dare to take a nap sitting there if he thinks Minato is sleeping too finally and isn't going to sneak away.

Probably it will be several hours before he finally gets feed up and talks, not sure if Minato is awake but, whatever.]

Hey, let me move in with you.

[well if he wasn't, the voice wakes him up enough to answer.]
